We have an answering service for the hours the office is closed. Always call (502) 891-8700, regardless of the time of day. If you have a non-emergent question that can wait until the office is open, we ask that you call weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Answering ServiceWhen reaching our answering service (502) 891-8700, you should hear from a physician within 30 minutes. Please call back if you have not heard from a provider within 30 minutes. Please disable any call block or caller ID function on your phone and have your pharmacy number available. Scheduling AppointmentsWe offer appointments Monday through Friday. Please call (502) 891-8700 to schedule your appointment. Additionally, we offer same day appointments for our established patients who call us with urgent needs. To speak to someone in our telephone triage department please call (502) 891-8700 option 2, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We suggest you call 6-8 weeks in advance to schedule your annual exam. We can schedule your mammogram and/or dexagram with your annual exam. We will need your mammogram films if you have had mammograms performed elsewhere for comparison purposes. A release form (Download Transfer Consent Form) can be downloaded to send to the radiology department where you had your previous mammogram performed. Please remember to bring your insurance card with you to each appointment. Patient Appointment PolicyWe value your time as a patient, and respectfully ask you to do the same with our providers and other patients in our practice. Being able to maintain an on-time daily schedule is a high priority at Women First. As a courtesy to you we will try our best to deliver a reminder phone call prior to your appointment with us, but ultimately the responsibility falls to you to be on time for your appointment. Please understand that when you fail to provide adequate notice when canceling an appointment or fail to show up or arrive late for your scheduled appointment, you inconvenience our other patients and cause the office to run behind schedule. In order to protect our patient’s time and our office time we have employed the following policy: We respectfully require that you provide no less than 24 hours notice for all cancellations, unless an unavoidable circumstance prohibits your arrival, i.e. auto accident or medical emergency. There will be a $25 charge for any inappropriately cancelled appointments and no shows. This charge must be paid in full before another appointment can be scheduled with your provider. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we will attempt to offer you another same day appointment with your provider or one of our midlevels if appointment availability exists, or we will arrange for your visit to be re-scheduled to another day. Repeated cancellations or no shows may be cause for your termination from our practice. We will always strive to honor your appointment at the time it is scheduled. However if an unforeseen delay due to an emergency occurs, we will offer you the option of waiting or rescheduling your appointment. We may also offer for you to see another provider in the office to avoid interruption of your care. |
